Paul Davy
Co-founder and director. Paul is a passionate advocate and practitioner for sustainable design in the built environment and believes that any design problem can be overcome with the right combination of experience and, most importantly, attitude.
Paul has experience in the design and construction of buildings and developments across all public and private sectors, in the UK and Australia, both as an engineering services consultant and Ecologically Sustainable Design (ESD) consultant.
Since 2005, Paul’s focus has been the provision of multidisciplinary consultancy associated with major projects in Australia, with a particular emphasis on achieving significant energy and ESD targets in major public sector, health, aged care, education, and commercial projects.

Deborah Davidson
Co-founder and director. Deborah’s specialities include sustainable design, emissions reduction, sustainability policy, environmental management, and resource management.
Deborah is one of Australia’s most experienced Green Star Accredited Professionals, and one of only four WELL Accredited Professional’s in South Australia, making her a leading authority on sustainable building design and certification. Her expertise is often called upon by the Green Building Council of Australia, as Green Star Assessor, in the teaching faculty and as an independent expert in new tool development.

Nick Stokoe
Associate. Nick is an experienced ESD consultant with a keen interest in improving Building Performance.
Nick’s career focus has been the holistic field of Sustainable Design where he has been involved in a range of ESD and energy efficiency projects on landmark buildings. Nick is an experienced NABERS Auditor and was the nation’s first Green Star – Performance Accredited Professional, now appointed directly by the GBCA as an Assessor.
Nick’s ability to balance the detailed and often conflicting requirements of cost-efficient design without compromising sustainability targets and benchmarks is invaluable to the projects he works on. He is also one of the most experienced NABERS professionals in the country and utilises this experience to directly support project teams to ensure targets are achieved.

Jacob Potter
Associate. Jacob is passionate about implementing sustainable solutions with experience in energy, resource and carbon management.
Jacob specialises in strategic sustainability planning, focussed on decarbonising the built environment and driving the net zero emissions transition with real world solutions.
This includes providing strategic advice on using design to drive emission reduction outcomes, embedding circular economy outcomes throughout design development and in operation, developing carbon neutral plans for organisations and buildings, and facilitating collaborative stakeholder engagement sessions with government, businesses, and the community.

Ben O’Callaghan
Senior Consultant. Ben lives with his family in Queensland in a sustainable community and has 20 years of experience in design. He is passionate about his electric cars and maximising quality-of-life through design.
Ben specialises in providing strategic planning and design solutions. He has worked on over 50 leading-edge sustainability projects across Australia.
Ben lives and breathes “sustainable design” so can be relied up on deliver quality advice across all stages of a project.
His experience includes providing design advice for councils, ecovillages, cohousing projects, resorts and multiple universities (QUT, UQ, JCU).

Richard Gardner
Richard has a keen interest in energy efficiency and low carbon design and a particular focus on building simulation, modelling and analysis.
Richard is an enthusiastic, organised, and conscientious individual with over 16 years’ experience working as both a mechanical services engineer and a building simulation engineer and consistently demonstrates a proven ability to deliver on time.

Eliza Koch
Eliza is motivated to improving the sustainability of built environments for future generations.
Eliza has significant experience in energy efficiency modelling, specifically providing NatHERS modelling and associated sustainable design advice for a number of residential dwellings and apartments Australia wide.
Eliza has also looked after Life Cycle Assessments and Green Star submissions for many developments.

Jarrad Braham
Jarrad has a keen interest in energy efficiency and sustainable design solutions for buildings, systems, and communities.
With an engineering background and as an accredited NABERS assessor, Jarrad has expertise in building performance analysis and optimisation, energy assessments, and design of renewable energy generation systems.
Jarrad has worked on many different project types and sizes across Australia including high-rise offices and residential towers, large-scale commercial developments, defence facilities, schools, and suburban housing.

René Schlosser
René focuses on a holistic performance based approach to building designs and developing customised solutions that meet the highest energy efficiency targets.
René has over 15 years’ experience in the design and construction of buildings and developments across all public and private sectors, in Germany and Australia.
René has worked as an Energy-Efficiency consultant, and Green Star Accredited Professional, on over 50 building projects across Australia and Germany.

Carmen Wilson
Carmen is committed to seeing healthy and responsible and low carbon construction materials and products installed in building & interiors projects.
Carmen is a Green Star Accredited Professional with over 10 years’ experience in ESD, energy efficiency for residential projects & interior design fitouts.
She has provided consultancy and project coordination using Green Star, Living Building Challenge, CORE & NatHERS in building and interior jobs across workplace, commercial, residential, education and health sectors.

Ashlee Duno
Ashlee’s architectural background, along with her experience within engineering and consultancy environments, provides a strong understanding of the benefits of integrated design and collaboration.
With technical experience in building simulation modelling and energy efficiency across a broad range of building typologies, Ashlee applies her knowledge in legislative requirements, policies, and voluntary sustainability frameworks to deliver solutions for the built environment, strategic sustainability planning and research projects across precincts and regions.

Matt Cuppleditch
Matt has a passion for building physics, façade optimisation, and renewable energy generation systems.
As a mechanical engineer, Matt’s expertise lies in the analysis and optimisation of building systems as well as complex façade analysis involving thermal bridging and moisture management.

Juli Wolter
Juli’s passion lies in developing integrated nature-based, human-centric, and passive design solutions, along with an interest in energy-efficient retrofits and low carbon design.
Juli is a dedicated ESD/ Sustainable Design Consultant and Architect with over 15 years of experience spanning diverse project types and scales in both Australia and Germany.
She specialises in providing strategic planning advice and crafting sustainable building design solutions by fostering collaboration, integration, and innovation.

Bilal Khan
Bilal has a background in architecture and a Masters degree in Sustainable Design & High Performance Buildings.
Bilal has a key interest in utilising building-simulation, modelling, and life-cycle analysis to create healthy and positive environments.

Alleigh Hamnett
Alleigh began at dsquared as an intern while completing a Bachelor of engineering (Mechanical Engineering, Renewable Energy) with Bachelor of Sciences (Physics).
Alleigh has worked on several projects including developing climate change risk assessments, sustainable transport plans, and supporting Green Star certifications.

Sian Davy
Sian joins dsquared as Accounts and Payroll Administrator, enabling the team to focus all their talents on the vital work of sustainability.
Sian is motivated to increase environmental awareness and respect for the planet’s finite and precious natural resources.
