HMRB is a new world-leading health & medical research building for Flinders University.
The Health and Medical Research Building (HMRB) will be the backdrop to world-class research through its state-of-the-art spaces, including wet and dry laboratories, work areas and public spaces. The first building in the new Flinders University Village Campus, HMRB will house scientists and staff from the College of Medicine and Public Health and the College of Nursing and Health Sciences.
Architectus has designed spaces that will facilitate collaborative, focused and innovative research and cast a spotlight on the human-centred outcomes of that research. Ultimately, HMRB will enhance researcher and clinician communication with the broader University community and public. Equipped to accommodate cutting-edge technologies, the building will also create a connective environment that facilitates opportunities for people to learn from each other and work together towards optimal research outcomes.
dsquared are providing ESD consultancy to deliver an all-electric research building supporting Flinders University’s Carbon Positive roadmap, a LEED Gold rating, and WELL Platinum rating.
