Oakfield Lodge is a state-of-the-art residential care facility, featuring 80 bedrooms, allied health services, commercial kitchen, café, and extensive landscaped grounds.
The building was designed to achieve high levels of daylight penetration and thermal comfort to create a healthy interior environment. Natural materials including stone and timber have been used throughout as well as low VOC, low Formaldehyde, and low emissions finishes and products to create a high quality internal environment.
As a result of this project, dsquared were appointed to support Southern Cross Care to develop an Environmental Management System to meet ISO 14001 which can be applied on all future projects and existing operations.
