The Carmelite development is the first of its kind for Aged Care in South Australia, as a vertically integrated style of apartments and aged care accommodation, combined with state of the art amenities.
The 5 storey development features 73 residential care units, 38 two bedroom assisted living units and areas for allied health services.
dsquared provided ESD advice to the project team, to achieve high levels of daylight penetration, thermal comfort and energy efficiency.
The project was recognised at the 2019 Urban Development Institute Awards for excellence in Aged Care and Senior Living.
